For the most part Pierrot was always alone in his new home. He likes it that way, not many people to bother or be bothered by. Most days were spent here in the quiet of the library amongst the many psychology and mental health books he poured into. The malign voice in his head spoke with a callus but upbeat tone, ‘Why do you try to fit in? Ha ha ha ha we aren’t normal you know HA HA HA HA!’ The teen hated having a backseat driver always digging it’s claws closer and closer to the service of his mind. The Fool as he called him was... a dark part of his mind and body that refused to be contained. Putting the book down and holding his head in his hands, Pierrot exhaled deeply and started to practice the breathing exercises he had read about in on of his many books on relaxation and meditation.
As the minutes slowly passed the young man could feel his other half getting bored and slithering off to whatever dark corner he resided in for the time being. Sighing heavily the young man noticed a book within the small pile of texts and manuels he regularly borrowed. “The Case of Dr, Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde...”, Pierrot unconsciously read the title aloud. This didn’t seem like one of the books he had checked out earlier in the day, how did it come to be in his possession? None the less the young man decided to read it anyway.
Devouring each chapter of the book took up most of his free time. Most days not even watching where he was walking with his face buried deep in the book. Enthralled by the tale of the brilliant doctor that had discovered evil incarnete within himself struck a cord. Maybe if he could create a serum like the good Dr. Jeckyl maybe he could keep his own monster in check when he came to call. “You can’t keep me locked away forever... he he he!”, Pierrots mouth began to move on its own speaking with a poisonous and insane tone all to familiar to him. No no no! Not now... I need to get back to my dorm before... Before Pierrot could take another step he felt the pull from inside his mind, dragging him back into the cage he was crammed into when He took over.
Running his scarred tongue along the sharpened teeth ground down to points, The Fool grinned wildly. “Bout time I get to stretch our legs huh old boy?! Ehehahahaha! Why do you insist on reading this shit there’s not even a single picture!” Throwing the book out the window, disregarding the safety of others, the maniac stretched, unbuttoned and loosened his tie, and let his black hair fall over his face and eyes, leaving only the twisted and cruel grin showing on his face. Pierrot screamed from inside his own mind, praying that no one would cross paths with him.
